Greetings to all readers.

This year marks the 55 years of James Bond on theatres and I revised 55 years of James Bond movies as part of anniversary celebration to this series.

The James Bond is a prized culture by Ian Fleming from 1953 through the first novel, Casino Royale, while first film was released in 1962 under the name of Dr. No.

Themes of James Bond film varies on different type of era, and also the actor.

Sean Connery, the 1st James Bond, has described as the "most handsome actor of 1960's and 1970's" that earned his bright future various Hollywood film, including The Rock. Connery returned in 1971 in Diamonds are Forever shortly after George Lazenby declined the role after his first cinematic debut, On Her Majesty Secret Service, as Connery's short replacement,

whom Connery returned in 1983 for Never Say Never Again for non-EON Bond film as remake of Thunderball, a highly controversial Bond film due to copyright issues.

Sir Roger Moore's James Bond, whom he was described as playboy style and humorous type with intelligence, played massive importance during 70's to 80's. Roger Moore, whom he was the longest James Bond ever, not only being successful veteran actor, he was a humanitarian while also being a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors since 1991 that he was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 for his service to charity. A highly prized actor, Moore also had the longest-serving membership of BECTU, a British Entertainment and Media trade union. Moore was ranked one of GQ's 50 best dressed British men in 2015. He passed away peacefully in 23 May 2017 thanks to his cancer. He was 89 at the time of his death and his body was cremated, while his ashes was scattered in Monaco.

Timothy Dalton was Roger Moore's replacement during the end of 80's but his Bond's career was short just as Lazenby, despite enjoying positive reviews and success in box office. The Licence to Kill, released in 1989, was not successful in UK and USA for various reasons:

  1. Massive competitions between Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Batman and Lethal Weapon 2 in USA.

  2. The film received 15 certificate by British Board of Film Classification, that no one under 15 are allowed to watch these films.

From 1989 to 1993, the legal dispute happened to EON Productions and MGM/UA that ultimately led the change of film release date between 31 October and Mid-December to prevent the failure that happened on Licence to Kill. Timothy Dalton announced to retire from James Bond on 12 April 1994 and his position was replaced by Pierce Brosnan that we are going to be stated below. Dalton's Bond is darker and more serious compared to lighthearted Moore's Bond.

Pierce Brosnan, the Irish-American who plays James Bond in 1995-2002, is described as being flashy, enjoys branded goods, along with his elegance and his good looking, that can be described as James Bond from boutique. Brosnan's Bond is firstly mentioned as an orphan that mentioned in You Only Live Twice original novel. His character to stop any nuclear war that causes World War III match himself as being an anti nuclear weapon activist that he boycooted the premiere of GoldenEye in France to support Greenpeace's protest against French Nuclear Weapon Testing Program. Brosman is also an environmentalist while being an Ambassador for UNICEF Ireland since 2001 and recorded a special announcement to mark the launch of UNICEF's "Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS" along with Liam Nesson while he supports John Kerry in 2005 Super Tuesday and also a same-sex marriage supporter. He. also enjoys outside-Bond successful acting career like his cast in Mars Attacks! and Mamma Mia.

Daniel Craig is the latest James Bond ever since MGM and Sony partnership on Bond's. film between 2006-2015 and the distributor of his Bond 25 is awaiting announcement. The latest James Bond has his various filming experience in Hollywood and he has his prominence in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and in Munich, as Steve, a white South African Jewish driver, before starts his James Bond career. Not only he is success is James Bond, he is also prominent in some film, including Defiance, The Invasion, Tintin, and also in uncredited cameo as Stormtrooper FN-1824 that is controlled by Rey, using her Jedi mind trick, in Star Wars: The Force Awakens , a highly successful Disney's Star Wars film that was released one month after the release of Spectre, the last Sony's Bind film. Daniel Craig's James Bond has been described as populazired James Bond with various emotions that also experiences failure and he also weeps, particularly when the M was dead after fatally shot by Raoul Silva, an ex-MI6 officer and SPECTRE agent. His character is described as dark and serious along with Dalton's one.

The James Bond's adversaries in the world varies, from Communist to Terrorist, and also Third World drug baron, megalomaniac supervillains like Ernst Stavro Blofeld and Max Zorin, and also Third World Dictator and drug baron, Dr. Kananga/Mr Big. Modern day after cold war James Bond also fights with someone he knows, like Alec Trevelyan, a Cossack descendant whom their parents we're Liens Cossacks who collaborated with Nazi but defected to Sir Wiston Churchill shortly after the collapse of Nazi Germany to fight communism that ended with repatriation and mass execution by SMERSH that his parents, felt shame, committed murdered-suicide and left Trevelyan orphaned before taken by MI6 and ready to defect when the time came by founding JANUS Syndicate consists of General Ourumov, Boris Grishenko and also Georgian femme fatale, Xenia Onatopp.

Also, he fights with media baron that wish to rule the world by causing a war between East and West, that's because of Media Censorship in People's Republic of China that bans the media baron form entering the market, despite has large population and marketing. Instead of kneeling, he decided to cause a war between UK and China, not only expanding his mass media business, but also causing political turbulence in Chinese Communist Party that General Chang, his hardcore supporter and a corrupt General officer, can rule the China by supporting the media baron, with the name of Elliot Carver. The plan is a failure thanks to the intervention of James Bond and Colonel Wait Lin (played by Michelle Yeoh) after investigations.

Since 21st century, his enemies are more complexes, and also features North Korean villain and MI6 traitor. The North Korea is a side effect of World War 2 and it's heavily criticized for poor human rights records, particularly for persecution of Christians that ranks No. 1 on Top 50 Watch List by Open Doors, a NGO for persecuted Christian leaded by Brother Andrew the Bible smuggler. His dangerous plan to invade the South Korea and Japan is failed that causes the demise of both north Korean villainous colonel and also the traitor of MI6 that she is stabbed by Giacintia "Jinx" Johnson, a black NSA agent. The Modern day Bond's villains are darker, not for ideologies, not for hefty sum of cash, but because of darked past among them.

Take some example, Raoul Silva, an ex-MI6 agent that went rogue by hacking Chinese that M had to hand him to save six agent during the transover in 1997. Within joining SPECTRE, he initiated mass havoc to MI6, by stealing hard drives containing NATO agents across the globe, while also humiliating M and kill her, while also taunting Bind about past and describe them as "the last two rats". Silva died along with M at the end of this event. Spectre features Ernst Stavro Blofeld, 44 years after Diamonds are Forever and also rebooted as Franz Oberhauser, the Foster older brother of James Bond that he believes he is a cuckoo that robbed his father's love when Bond was adopted by Hannes Oberhauser, after he was orphaned at age 11 due to the mountaineering incident that caused the death of death of their parents. He is the one who controls Bond life as described as "It was me, James, the author of all your pain". We can see that modern day Bond villains are fond to seek Bond's past wile being adversaries to him. Also Modern Day Bond Universe is in complex, that good becomes bad when bad becomes good.

This article is my homage to James Bond as being a hardcore fan to James Bond. This is Manuel Smith, signing off.
