Hello. My name is Manuel Smith. I am Malaysian No.1 More than Blue fan.
So, recently, I had myself watching More than Blue, a high ranking Taiwanese romantic drama film, starring Jasper Liu and Ivy Chen as K and Cream, for 8 times.

For now, I am talking about A Kind of Sorrow, the theme song from this film.

The song was created by Cream and demo by K, for Bonnie's next album purposes, however, thanks to death of K and Cream, well plus Bonnie and Chi's retirement, so the song was in dormant.
An artist named A-Lin asked about the demo of the song, after a failed recording, and they paid a visit to Kick, a café run by Pang who is the owner here, and A-Lin herself agreed to sing the song for web series.

But, do you actually know about “A Kind of Sorrow” that was written by Cream?
The song is a sorrowful ballad about an orphaned couple, K and Cream. K’s real name was Chang Che-kai, while Cream’s real name was Sung yuan-yuan.
K and Cream met together when they were 16, in 2002. Cream’s parents and sister was killed in an automobile accident, while K’s mother left him one month later, after she herself was unable to accept the hard truth about K’s inheritance from leukemia that cost his father life. K’s mother forced to left him with huge sum of savings and leaving in tears, leaving K himself heartbroken.
Shortly after themselves being orphaned, they met together as love at first sight. Cream’s cuteness, free spirit and a shining figure, opened his closeted windows while sharing common interest as comic fans, enjoying instant noodles and challenging baseball. They also studied at same university together, graduated together and enjoyed popsicles on rainy days.
When Cream herself moved to his place to live with him, she gave Kai’s nickname as K, as his pronunciation, believing K and Cream were together for eternity as orphans, while also believed that K and Cream shares same consonant as K. K enjoyed various good time with Cream while Cream herself opened his windows of loneliness, while himself had no courage to confess his love to her, thanks to his secret of being a leukemia patient that was slowly taking his life.
K’s thought that he could hid the secret well, but not for long when a fight among Kitty Bomb lyrics happened, that Cream fought with Bonnie about the word, eternity, when she believed that eternity is not attitude about this song. After the fight, when Cream went home and looked for various inspiration about this song, she accidently found two cans of Imatinib, a highly priced cancer drug that is not for normal healthy human consumption. Knowing K was dying from leukemia, which drew her situation about K’s leaving in the car, Cream cried in sorrow and went back to cry, but she kept the secret, believing K did it for reason.
K suggested changing eternity to next life, with blanket, ring, glasses and key as the key element of this song, which appealed Bonnie and made it as title track and MV shooting for the song.

During a lunch, Bonnie knew that K got the leukemia that has only one year to live, while Cream told her that he requested him to find a nice guy in order to marry for.
Under the guide of Lisa, K’s best female friend and colleague in his record label that left company after being married, Cream found a nice guy called as Yang Yu-hsien, a healthy, wealthy, top student, and a proficient dentist, during a Halloween party. Shortly after the Halloween party, Lisa introduced Yu-hsien to K, who also gave him Yu-hsien’s clinic address.
With K’s request, Chi asked Pang to investigate Yu-hsien, while Pang revealed his details to him as a life winner, with a proficient photographer fiancée named Cindy, whom Chi requested him to talk with Cindy for Bonnie’s album publicity photo.
During Bonnie’s dancing training, Pang told K’s about Cindy that Cindy was so popular that Yu-hsien himself didn’t know. Knowing that Yu-hsien would surely unable to love her, he secretly sent photos to Hsien’s clinic as anonymous letter.
Unknown to him, during his investigation about Cindy to make sure she herself removing engagement’s, his activity was surveilled by Cindy that pissed off. Fortunately, Pang came and rescue him, and had a drink with him while requesting for a negotiation.
The next day, K give Cindy a bag of cashes that Chi’s men gave to him for Bonnie’s publicity, and later gave her his medical record while telling that Cream herself fell in love with Hsien and apologized, and Cindy broke up with Hsien after he agreed to be her personal model for exhibition purposes.

Cream later engaged with Hsien, and introduced him to K during the MV shooting of Kitty’s Bomb.
During shooting period, Cindy asked K why he himself was unable to confess to Cream, and he angrily replied that Cream herself can’t suffer what happened while she admired him as male chauvinistic that helped her to look for cash machine, and during another photo shoot, K angrily replied that nobody wanted to die like this and he refused to have a sad dream.
During a wedding photographing period, K was asked to have a wedding photograph with Cream, while K himself left in sadness after a photo shoot, knowing that he was unable to be together. During the wedding, K sent Cream’s hand for Hsien to marry, while his friends watched in full of sadness while himself left in sorrow.
Later, after the wedding, Cream left a voice recording before personally visited K, knowing that K was dying from leukemia, and later took him home, and he collapsed himself after finished as a photo shoot, while Cream herself committed suicide with high dose of Imatinib in order to be with him for eternity.

After their death, their funeral was held together, and they share the same grave, while Hsien himself personally visits them each time, and Cindy converted the Death and Timeline exhibition as A Kind of Sorrow, to remember them. Because of their death, the song was left unpublished officially as Bonnie and Chi married and pregnant, before this song is finally given to A-Lin to sing for, under her personal request after listening Pang’s story.
So, actually, based on this, I believe that this film actually teaches us about being appreciate, along with this theme song. And I believe the the power of love here, will win for eternity, because love comes from here. And yes, I believe that once get used loneliness, that is actually much sadder than sadness itself.
