Today, I am going to talk about Miss Hong Kong that is highly controversial sometimes.Year 2017 is a difference that our Miss Astro was held before Miss Hong Kong, that Miss Astro was completed on 1st day of Eid-ul-fitr, and this week is our Miss Hong Kong that is 45th Miss Hong Kong from the year of 1973.Compared to Miss Astro, some Hiss Hong Kong are highly controversial and one Miss Hong Kong, publicly sobbed herself after being mass criticized. • Canadian citizen from age 9 when her family moved to Canada

• Has popularity in TVB despite ugly smiling, and she is Lam Chi-wah's highly used actress, that has prominence characters like Ivy Yip in Dead Wrong, and also a LGBT character named Poon Oun aka Annie in The Unlawful Justice Squad, and she earned her first lead in Brothers, all of them are created by Lam Chi-wah

• Miss Chinese International 2nd runner up, behind Gloria Tang and Demise Camillia, whom Denise stayed in Astro and briefly served in Astro Xiao Tai Yang as ambassador and artist here, before joined MediaCorp in 2017

• Described as Civilian Miss Hong Kong, that she has no prominent family background, well plus outstanding look, instead of being a normal neighbour girl

• Received Mixed reviews among the viewers, some support her ad an unusual type of Miss Hong, while there are also objection, that keeps a long time

• Highly used Virginia Lok's artist

• A Singer signed to Vigour Entertainment, with EP called Kiss Me Kate, before the shutting down of label in 2011

• Winner of Miss Hong Kong 2014 and 2nd runner up in Miss Chinese International 2017, behind Taiwanese Stitch Yu and Malaysian Serene Lim, whom all of them joined TVB, that Serene believes that TVB is better than in Astro that there is no "These No-Majs that must never be Named", instead of highly prized superstars here

• ​Highly controversial for her turbulence discipline past when she was in high school, and also nicknames as Vulgar Miss Hong Kong that she used to speak vulgars on anti occupy central people and also CY Leung during Umbrella Revolution, in which CY retired himself as chief executive

Tiffany Lam

• Born October 25, 1980 in British Hong Kong

• American citizens, coming from San Francisco, California

• Winner of Miss Hong Kong 2002 with two side awards, Miss International Goodwill and Modern Style and 1st runner up in Miss Chinese International 2003 1st runner up behind Malaysian one, Rachel Tan, an aspiring independent artist and a legal eagle, and founder of King Street Pictures along with her Hollywood lawyer husband, Dan Mark

• Highly criticized that Miss Hong Kong failed to find a high quality one that many pretty young girls became pseudo-model instead, that year Facebook and Bubble HK magazine was not founded yet, which led the anger of TVB high ranking executives that they scolded and slammed the desk on crew, during a meeting

Sandy Lau

• Born January 24, 1986. in British Hong Kong

• Graduate from University College London, majoring in Economics

• Cousin is 2002 Miss Hong Kong Champion, Tiffany Lam

• Winner of Miss Hong Kong 2009 but joined Miss World 2009 instead of Miss Chinese International

• Highly criticized for controversies surrounding on her, including her proactive use of profanity, smoker, and non-natural Miss Hong Kong

• Independent artists after left TVB in 2014, and married to Lee Shing Chak in 2013, that costs HKD 90000000 for banquet, and the marriage is awarded with a daughter in 2016

Veronica Shiu

• Born April 30, 1990 in British Hong Kong

• Canadian citizen

• Has a birthmark on her chest, inherited from family

• Graduated from Simon Fraser university, majoring in psychology

• Miss Chinese Vancouver 2012 1st runner up, and Miss Hong Kong 2014 Champion along with Miss Photogenic and Friendship, while she also gained 1st runner up in Miss Chinese International 2015

• Less welcomed Miss Hong Kong, in which the Miss Hong Kong reputation is quite askew thanks to the falling reputation of TVB and the ban of NextMedia from TVB thanks to terrestrial television licence issue, while Sandy Yue applauded the ban of NextMedia that she had a feud with NextMedia owner, Jimmy Lai, due to a wrong news about the Next Media Animation that already existed in 2007, one year before Sandy Yue joined NextMedia, created Next TV, and also Weather Girls along with L Motion Entertainment, before they are selected to debut in Japan from A-Nation 2012

• Highly criticized by Eric Tsang that he believed that the judges of the event was having a myopia and she sobbed publicly in Causeway Bay for being unable to receive hard criticism

• Quite askew in her acting skills that she is labelled as Sisley Choi's successor, that her acting skill is horrendous in Fashion War, a fashion office politics series by Dave Fong, while Sisley Choi improves her skills, and her acting skillis same as Grace Chan the Miss Hong Kong 2013 and Miss Chinese International 2014 Champion, that they are highly criticized for skills, while Grace herself ranked as top 10 most hated entertainers in Hong Kong during 2017 Chinese New Year

From this article, I believe that one day Miss Hong Kong reputation can be fixed with a better leadership, while they need to reconcile with NextMedia to maintain media neutrality in TVB as leading Chinese language media network from 1967. Yes, Rome was not built in one day, two days perhaps. But, with the work hard and dedicated executive, I believe that one day Miss Hong Kong reputation is all time high like no other.
