Greetings to Formula One fans. Today, I am going to talk about the five main sponsors of Formula One, that plays a main role in each Formula One seasons.

The five main sponsors of F1 are DHL, Emirates, Heineken, Pirelli and Rolex.

Today, I have to talk about the role of these five main sponsors in Formula One.

DHL is a prominent multinational courier company. Founded in 1969 by Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillborn and Robert Lynn, the company stands for their surname's initial, which is highly common in modern day, as based in Bonn, Germany. Being a subsidiary of Deutsche Post from 1998, DHL plays an important role as Formula One sponsor, starting with sponsoring Jordan Grand Prix in 2002, that becomes official logistics of Forrmula One, while sponsoring various F1 Grand Prix, including Turkish and Japanese one as post Fuji Television sponsorship since 2010 when Fuji Television had withdrawn F1 Japanese Grand Prix sponsorship since 2010 due to financial problem, and the sponsorship of DHL for Japanese Grand Prix lasted 2 years, from 2010-2011. DHL also sponsors DHL Fastest Lap Award, to award most fastest laps in Formula One season, from 2007. DHL also sponsors Manchester United, Formula E and FC Bayern Munich, a high ranking German Bundesliga team.

Emirates, a highly prized world airline service that is based in Dubai, is having an important role in Formula One sponsorship for years. Starting with sponsoring McLaren Mercedes in 2006, which replaced West in 2005 due to EU tobacco ban, and replaced by Vodafone in 2007, Emirates plays a high ranking role in Formula One, by sponsoring Formula One from 2013. When Emirates had withdrawn from FIFA sponsorship along with Sony due to FIFA corruption issues, Emirates concentrates itself on Formula One, and also soccer teams like Hamburger SV, Arsenal, AC Milan, Paris Saint Germain, and Real Madrid. From 2016, Emirates sponsors Japanese Grand Prix, and renamed as Emirates Japanese Grand Prix in 2016, before dropped Emirates name in 2017.

A global beer partner since 2016, Heineken plays an important role in Formula One, while also sponsors various Grand Prix, including Heineken Chinese Grand Prix, Heineken Italian Grand Prix, Heineken Mexican Grand Prix, and so on. Being a global beer brand that replaces Foster's (1986-2006), Heineken also conducts fans on safety driving and refrain drink and drive. Besides F1 sponsorship, Heineken is also prominent in James Bond movies, including Skyfall, when James Bond drinks a pint of Heineken on screen during his sabbatical treatment from his injuries before being called by MI-6 for gas explosion in London, that causes the demolition of MI6 buildings in Spectre. Q also drinks Heineken while tracking Raul Silva on screen. Being a partner of 007 series since Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997, Heineken plays a big role in 007 movies, while Heineken is the only partner of Specrtre that is created a TVC that stars Daniel Craig. Heineken also has various subsidiaries and brands across the globe, including Malaysia and Singapore's Tiger Beer, Anchor Smooth and Strong, Guinness Stout, and so on.

From 1950, Pirelli is highly connected with Formula One, when Giuseppe Farina won the first F1 champion with Pirelli tires. Pirelli also created world champions in 1950's, including Juan Manuel Fangio, Alberto Acari and Mike Hawthorn. Pirelli also sponsored tires to F1 from 1981-83, and 1989-91, when Pirelli faced failure due to competition of Goodyear and Michelin tires. Beginning with 2011, Pirelli is now the exclusive tire supplier for Formula One, along with F2 and GP3, replacing Bridgestone that became Formula One exclusive tire supplier from 2007, when Michelin dropped F1 sponsorship due to a controversy among the 2005 United States Grand Prix that made 7 Michelin teams forced to withdraw the race, leaving only 3 Bridgestone teams to race and won by Michael Schumacher. From 2011, Pirelli creates F1 Superstars, including Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, and Nico Rosberg, while also nurtures future Formula One superstars like Valtter Bottas, Max Verstappen, and also Daniel Ricciardo.

Rolex, a prominent Swiss wristwatch brand, has important role for Formula One sponsorship since 2013. Being official timepiece that replaces TAG Heuer, Rolex has maintained a strong timepiece sponsorship relationship to Formula One. Not only sponsors Formula One, it also sponsors FIA World Endurance Championship, where Tom Kristensen the Mr. Le Mans, is the ambassador of Rolex. TAG Heuer, the former official timepiece of Formula One, is now sponsoring Red Bull Racing while plays an important role in rebranding Renault engine as TAG Heuer, following a disagreement of Renault Sport and Red Bull Racing in 2015.
